What is Kali linux? How it came and its work?

What is Kali Linux?
In a simple word, Kali Linux is a Linux Distribution with lots of hacking tools based Debian. Kali Linux is a new version of  Backtrack Linux! Many people said that two are completely different. Actually, Kali Linux is improved version of Backtrack Linux including more tools for work. Kali Linux is now Number 1 Operating System for Hackers.

How Kali Linux came?
Firstly, Backtrack 2, Backtrack 3, Backtrack 4, Backtrack 5 and the last of the Linux Distribution called Kali Linux. The latest Kali Linux is Kali 2017.1 which is released on 25th April, 2017.

In 1991, first Linux Operating System kernel was developed, which was released by the Linus Torvald. The Linux operating system is free from launched. At present, Linux is a familiar operating system of mainframes computers and large servers.

Kali Linux is a Distribution derived from Debian, which was originally designed for Digital Forensic and Penetration Testing. Offensive Security Ltd has made it. It has more than 300 penetration testing software available in the pre-installed condition. Before the Kali Linux, there was a distro named Backtrack, which was made by Mati Aharoni and Devon Kearns. After joining the Debian Expert Raphael Hertzog with them, they closed the Backtrack project and created new Kali Linux project and formed a company called Offensive Security Ltd. Nowadays, mobile phones, tabs, smart televisions and many other peripheral devices (such as card/finger punch machines, robots) use the Linux kernel.

Some features of Kali Linux: 
1. There are more than 600 tools on Kali Linux website, but many of do not work without Kali Linux.
2. Kali Linux is free as before. But trying to keep its tools free of cost.
3. Kali Linux is completely replaceable. It has been easy to change its kernel.
4. It supports ARM based hardware such as Raspberry Pi. It's compatible to support wireless devices.

Work of Kali Linux: 
Thousands of sites can be disappeared, can down thousands of servers, can destroy income of any online based company in one of the orders of Kali Linux. Let's see what we can do with Kali Linux:
  • Can Hack any website.
  • Can hijack information from servers.
  • Can access any things of Internet.
  • Penetration testing.
  • Finding errors on websites.
It's not like other Linux operating systems to use. Only root user has been kept. The network is turned off in the default setting. This operating system is not for everyone. It's the first choice of penetration testers, security experts and Hackers. It may not be a comfortable platform for games or web developers.

What is SPAM?

Spam is an information simultaneously given to many people (who don't deserve message). In most cases, spam is spread by affiliating itself with some or other services for advertising or promotional purposes.

Spamming on Various Media:

E-Mail: General public started using E-Mail in 1990, then everyone got familiar with E-Mail spamming. Several people have been working together for spamming. Several services and E-Mail marketing software are built for spamming. Currently about 85% of E-Mails spam!!!

E-Mail addresses are collected through some software. They collect these from various blog forums and social networks. They can also confirm that the E-Mail address is active or not by using several methods. In this way, they collect E-Mail addresses of millions of people and store them in a database.

Instant messaging Spam: Several Bots can be chatting with you in different chat rooms as human!!! In Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Facebook Messenger or in other networks can be found chat spammers. For this reason, many services have adopted several methods, including captcha code.

Mobile Spam: Spamming is increasing by sending text and voice messages automatically through mobile. I got several spam messages from different product and web addresses. Spam is spread by offering many free SMS or even contracting with mobile companies. Many mobile companies also spread spam for the promotion of their products.

Forums and Blogs Spam: Automatic making threat in the forums and auto commenting on the blog are greatly expanding. Many search engines give more importance to Backlink's site, so many people do their own comments automatically or voluntarily in Do-Follow blogs and forums. Most of the time, posting the same comment repeatedly and linking to the site for the promotion of your site. Spammers are seen on various video sharing sites.

What is Cyber Crime?

The word cyber crime is not only in Bangladesh, it also very familiar and scary word in every country. Whether it is known or not, its victims are millions of people every day. Cyber crime is not a new kind of crime in the world. Common crimes like information theft, information distortion, fraud, blackmail, money laundering etc are in the general language as a cyber crime. In other languages, cyber crime is mainly used on computers and criminals use the network to crime worldwide. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is divided Cyber Crime into four main categories - Insiders, Hackers, Virus Writers and Criminal Groups.

Different types of Cyber Crime:
 
Spamming or Junk Mail: This is a great way to cheat and it is fully based on the email. Using fake ID / Email addresses, they want to access your address, credit or debit card number and even the phone number. Most of the spam messages come in the mail Spam folder.

Pornography: Porn sites are the most dangerous thing. Several sites are affected with harmful computer viruses. Those sites show popup ads and sometimes required email address. Those ads can cause to affect virus on your computer.

Drug Business: The drug trade cycle is active on the Internet. They produce databases including drug purchase prices, distribution system etc on their website and shows to world wide people.

Hacking: Hacker can spread virus on your computer and can theft your important data. They can hack E-Commerce website database and theft credit card details. It's called Carding. Black hat Hacking is a serious crime.

Torture of women in Cyber Crime: Many girls are victimized by cyber crime in our country. The girls of the country including actresses have been involved in pornography due to cyber crime unknowingly. A number of abusive crimes have also been committed to posting rape videos and sex scenes on social media. Recently these works are getting much more. Other types of cyber crime include showing pornography, opening fake account with pictures, threatening on emails etc.

Every year hundreds of billion dollars of economic losses are committed by these crimes worldwide. International organizations publish annual surveys of economic losses per year due to cyber crime worldwide. According to Computer Economics survey in 2006 about 13.3 billion dollars was damaged due to viral related damage.

What is Deep Web and Dark Web?

Many of us have heard the name of the Deep or Dark Web several times. There is a lot of rumor about Deep Web. Someone says it's the kingdom of Hacker, the heaven of black money and contract killers deal among the mafia. Someone thinks that there is a system to make a connection with the aliens and some people say that space is mysterious. What do you think? What happens here?

The entire Internet world is mainly divided into three parts. Surface Web, Deep Web and Dark Web.
The surface web is the web which we can easily access through various search engines and URL. Surface Web is only about 2% of the total World Wide Web. The Deep Web and Dark Web has the remaining 98%. Imagine, how big is the circumference?

What is Deep Web?
The sites that are not open to the public, the creator or the founder doesn't want to show the site to someone from the web or the search engine. Site owner hides their secret information or content here from us. It would be their database, customer details, employee details, business plan etc. Deep web is not an illegal thing.

What is Dark Web?
Dark Web is the darkest part of the Internet that is totally illegal. Dark web is used for various illegal activities such as illegal trade, child pornography and other terrorist activities. Heroin, Cocaine, AK 47, Rocket Launcher, Samurai Killer etc are available here. Anyone can purchase those things by paying Bitcoin.

How to access the Dark Web?
The way we usually access the internet, that can not go to the Dark Web. We have to access the normal internet with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Maxthon Browser, Opera Mini, Safari etc, but we need to use a different browser to access the Dark Web. This browser name is TOR. Full meaning The Onion Router.

 To access the Dark Web, we must adhere to some security protocols for our protection. We need to change your IP address to avoid leak our information. We should remain very aware when we access the Dark Web. Police or Hacker can track our identity. As Dark web is illegal, so we should avoid this.

What is Hacking? Details about Hackers.

Hacking is a process where someone enters a computer or computer network without any valid permission. Who done hacking they are Hacker. We all are thinking that hacking is just hack any website or hack any computer or computer network, isn't it? No, not really. There may be many types of hacking. Mobile Phones, Land Phones, Car Tracking, Different Electronics and Digital Equipment using without useful permissions can be under Hacking. Hackers usually find the errors of these electronics devices for hacking them.

Types of Hackers:
The person who practices the hacking is called a hacker. They know all the information including system structure, working process, how it works etc of the hackable system.

There are mainly Three types of Hacker. They are:
1. White Hat Hacker
2. Gray Hat Hacker
3. Black Hat Hacker

White Hat Hacker: Everyone think Hacking is a bad thing, isn't it? No hacking is not very bad. White hat hackers prove that hacking is not a bad thing. A white hat hacker brings out a security system error, and inform the errors to the system owner. The security system can be a computer, a computer network, a website, a software etc.

Gray Hat Hacker: Gray hat hacker is a two-faced snake. When they identify errors from a security system, they will act like their mind. He will do what he wants at that time. If he wishes, he can inform the error of the security system to the owner. Also, can cause flaws to see or to see or destroy the information. Again he can be used it for his own benefits. Most hackers are falls in this category.

Black Hat Hacker: The most dangerous hacker is A Black hat hacker. When they find out the errors of a security system, they quickly use that error for their own sake. They can damage the system and spread different viruses. Keeping a way in this system and he can enter this in future again by this way. It's called Back Door. He takes attempt to enter those subsystems under that system.

The hackers are so intelligent, it's known to all. When they hack anything, they can do everything on this system.
